Hey, im got having trouble drawing the graph for this function:
Consider the function f(x)=3cos to the power of -1(2x)
(i) state the domain and range
D = -.5 - x - .5
R = 0 - y - 3pi
Sketch the graph, showing all important features
Now consider

we start at the extreme value of the domain (ie the x-intercept) which is

The y intercept occurs half way inbetween the maximum range, ie
And of course when
So just draw the graph based on this information. It will look pretty much like the blue graph above just with different y/x intercepts.
You could also just simply draw
and visually flip it through
just to get an idea. But for some this is hard and also not an acceptable solution in an exam, merely just a method to get a general understanding of the graph =)
