Nope sorry not an emo thread. But in my very bored train of thought, it just seems like the odds of finding someone are astronomical.

Let's say you see a girl at the grocery store. What are the odds that she will be physically attractive, not stupid, fun to be with, not a whore, not a gold digger, single, AND interested/attracted to you?

I think a lot of people end up settling. I guess loneliness really bothers some people that they force themselves to settle?

Discuss!

Same as anything else I would assume, you can either sit back and rely on luck or put a bit of 'work' in, date a variety of people and find someone that you like enough to stick with

The crazies are half the fun anyway

I don't. Single forever. *sigh*

I don't trust people easily enough when they come into my life so they depart pretty quickly.

I guess also, the trick is to stop looking?

Would you agree?
I don't think it's necessarily that you should stop looking it's just that it shouldn't be forced. Just go about doing what you wanna do, you'll meet people along the way, some of those people might get your motor running etc

Mmm I see where you're at.

Might I add, this isn't in any way related to me. I'm just making an open discussion.

Just go along with your daily life, then when it is the right time, youll find them. I agree, dont go looking for them, but try and notice what is around you (im not trying ot contradict myself). Hang out with a couple of people, if sparks fly, they fly

meh.
they don't have to be perfect.
as long as the positives far outweigh the negatives.
she's a good root + she has good cooking + she does laundry far outweighs her going shopping occassionally.
you're getting something and so is she.
its all good.

My experience doesn't seem to be one that very many people can relate to, but :
Dad had advised me ( not told me, advised me) to wait until I was at least eighteen before having a 'romantic' relationship, and even then only to get involved in one when I really wanted to. I took his advice.
I spent my time wisely and was as happy then (as a single girl) as I am now.
Ended up in a very happy relationship with a wonderful guy. No searching required.
I was blessed, but I tend to think that others could be as fortunate.

similar situation with me (but i am sure slightly more whorey). i just have never seen the point in being in a relationship with someone unless i am REALLY sure i want to be. i don't understand those girls who constantly need a boyfriend.

I love how I either got a neg rep or a nasty comment from troll accounts (Lord Von Silly etc). But haven't given any input in this thread...

But yet, they still know their shit hey.

Halcyon, where did I even say I have a new girlfriend? I simply said I met a girl and all of you virgin fucktards started hownding me for pictures...
