the title says it all =.=

my two older sisters dont talk to each other... and they're what? 28 and 30! and my 28 yr old sister had a fight with me because she "assumed" that i didn't like the gold, saphire and diamond ring that she gave me for my birthday. and she got jelous of the comment i made on facebook to my other sister about how i liked her gift... when in fact both comments made to them were not that different

to 28 year old - "thanx sis! luv ya xx"
to 30 year old - "thanks for the wonderful pressent sis!! im definately sure it will get some good wear out of it! :D xx"

hate this sibling rivalry... its always the 28 year old that starts arguments with me! she acts like shes my mother or something! always commenting on what i wear, how i shop, who im friends with etc etc.

like helloo!! i control my own life not you!

and yet she says i should own up to my feelings and stop lying to her...:burn:
*@$&%*#&*$*^*#$*^**#$*#%^ AND IN FACT I AM NOT LYING TO HER!!! stubborn **************

Cool story bro. You know, that's actually funny cause my two older sisters dont talk to each other as well... and they're what? 28 and 30! and my 28 yr old sister had a fight with me because she "assumed" that i didn't like the gold, saphire and diamond ring that she gave me for my birthday. and she got jelous of the comment i made on facebook to my other sister about how i liked her gift... when in fact both comments made to them were not that different

And 10 year difference, yeah she could be your mother.

To OP: yeah, that must be pretty frustrating, especially the mum bit, i mean you already have one, and that must be annoying enough. Sounds like the 28-year old needs to mature, or have a kid, or both.

Can choose your friends, but you cant choose your family

How silly. You aren't the victim here, obviously.
Your sister sounds very generous and kind, if a bit uptight.
The two messages were very different, it's pretty clear which present you preferred. Clear to everyone on fb too.
You need to be more considerate of other people's feelings, imo.

well then again... you may not be in this situation and do not have a sister that thinks she can tell you how to live your life...

can you call this considerate of other people's feelings?

for example... my sister was being dissaproving about who im friends with, and being in a multicultural city, there aren't many australians. so im best friends with islanders and i have developed an attraction to islander men. and my sister dissaproves of this asking me "what is so good about islanders" and accusing one of my friends of being my excuse to "get drunk get with 50 guys and go crazy" (this is SO not me.. ive only drunk once and only ever been with one guy) she said "im white and who am i trying to be black"

this really offended me because my BEST FRIENDS are islander and my sister is being racist towards them...

now you try and step in my shoes and listen to your sister telling you that you can't be friends with islanders and that you will lose all your friends after high school. see how that feels

Maybe your mother needs to speak with her. She has no right to talk about your friends like that, and it must hurt you a great deal to hear her speak of them like that. She needs to see things from your point of view, and stop thinking that she is always right and knows what is best for you. She is only 28!!!
