pretty sure it says somewhere on your confirmation you have to attempt your p's test in a vehicle that is allowed for the class of licence you are applying for (P1)

that means, no v8s, no turbos, no superchargers, no v12s (if anyone has one, theyr $$$)

Haha we have an old BMW V12 which isn't worth much now... but it still sings when you plant the right foot :) I think it also feels alot nicer (but not as exciting) compared to the V10's.

I.e. If you want a car licence, you have to take the test in a C vehicle. You are technically allowed to drive supercharged etc cars on P1 and P2, it's just that nearly all licences are issued with the restriction on them. The licence itself allows you to drive any vehicle up to 4.5t GVM with room for no more than 12 passengers.
