i've heard that to get over your ex it takes the whole period of time in which you have dated for to get over them.

so you passed that period of time in which apparently you will get over your ex... for example... you went out with your ex for 4 months and 5 months later you're still not over him?

problem much?

now put into context that you have a compulsive disorder within yourself and you can't stop yourself from calling/ texting your ex's number beacuase you still have feelings for them.

is the only way to stop this to get your ex to change their number so that you have absolutley no contact with them what so ever? or is this just asking for too much?

Uh I'd say asking to change his number is too much, it's a massive inconvenience. Rather than getting him to change/do anything, I'd say you should probably focus on what you can do.
