He came equal first with someone else. If the full marks rumour is true, then there is at least more than one person who got full marks. It is certainly possible that someone may get full marks this year.

Trebla, If you can get hold of a copy of the MANSW solutions book (lilac) prior to 2000, there are raw HSC stats in the back, which seems to confirm that in 1993 only 1 person scored 120/120. cheers

Top of Grammar was 112. Remember though that Lacy, who is in top 10 for Maths Olympiad only came 6th. And that Menzies got 114 last year and topped the state.
