Nope, the faculty did a really shit job and added questions onto the back of the multiple choice answer sheet. I don't know what they were thinking.
They also provided sources which were indistinguishable to even read. The teachers had no idea what to do, they offered "a few coloured copies" to a handful of students before realising it was more than a handful of students, it was all 160.

& that IST test was absolute, no words can really say. The teachers were worse than geography, not even being able to read the sections which read "Provide 1 hour for section II (3 sections, I = 15minutes, III = 30minutes), so we only had 1hour. The topics were not even taught, (Unless someone could define the components used between CPU & RAM from the top of their head)

Sigh, i love these daily rants on boardofstudies. FML!

on a brighter note, got my multiple choice results from english, 35/45. There goes band 6

Marks received so far and rankings.
Math- 87% - 1st
Geography- 89% - 5th
English- 84% - Unsure... very disappointed at that mark since i could improve from my short story.
Science- 87%- 4th very disappointed.

Awaiting history. doing computing test tomorrow.

I haven't started studying for School Cert. yet. Should i be worried? I really can't be bothered. I will start tomorrow.

OMG I GOT MY HISTORY MARK BACKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!! 100% WOOT! 1st in the grade. I am sooo happy. =) So in history i have gotten 100% in all my assessments except for my halfyearly. =)

I got my maths back, 96.75 / 100, I'm ranked 3 out of 253 mock-computer test results back, 40/40. but damn, i havent been studying for SC at all lately, lol

.75???How do you get something 3 quarters right?Its maths its either right or wrong? Although half marks for correct working, but wrong answer.

Technically speaking in accordance with SC marking, I was supposed to get 96.50, but my school was being generous and handing out 1/4 marks for the "Correct/Incorrect" bubble section part - if you know what I'm talking about.

I found English trials fairly easy. Piece of cake. It was on Coraline, Jeans for Genes day etc. As for science, not really. Ah well, I don't really care because I'm not doing any science-related subjects next year.

Some results of mine have come back !

Maths: 52% .... dont ask please.

Science: 72% Thats.... okays i guess, a big improvement from half yearlies, teacher said i came top 10 of year but im guessing he just bluffing or something

Geography:29/50 Never liked geography to be honest

History: 48/50 i finally topped a subject in my grade at my school ! But then theres sc... ==' And also i got my assignment mark back and that just killed my moment with my history mark.

Anddd still awaiting some of my other results aswell....

Wow i feel really dumb in this forum ! Everyones getting high marks and good ranking and they also come from very prestigious high schools. While my school....600's... erh not so much.And i feel so dumb considering my school and my rankings. =='

:O lucky! I only got 1 correct/incorrect one wrong -.- hmph, according to your school rules (which are AWESOME!) I should get an extra .75

Was my school the only school that found the correct/incorrect questions stupid? Nobody in my year got 5/5 for that part.

2 years ago my school was in the bottom 30. Our school just got lucky of our first band 6 in a few years this year. Also is it really THAT hard to get a band 6 in the hsc? It seems so rare!

Also i got my english mark back today. 69% i didnt even improve a bit and the teacher says im not likely doing ext english if i dont do well in the sc. English used to be my best subject ! ==''

curious about the ist, what did you get tested on? i didn't finish mine too, skipped a whole section on DVD menu authoring cause i didn't have the time, the test was squashed into one hour, yet the sections were marked as "provide 50minutes - section 2, provide 20minutes - section 1", and there was a third, but i didn't remember it, but if i'm doing the math correctly, that test was designed to be more than one hour!

I don't think it is. My school had its first ever year 12 go through and we got like 20 band 6's outta like 36 people i think. We were ranked like 115th in our first year. I think this year though our rank will drop

I made non-sense up for 2009 SC Trials Geography and came first with 40/50, especially the Reconciliation and the link referring to government and non government organisations. Lol, me and my friend did a long English-styled analysis on a one mark Geography question.

well got all of my trials back... the english sector was the Coraline thingo, Jeans for Genes, two letter extracts and yeah....

Though you really gotta say some of my marks are disappointing, but reasonable....

English; 57/90... screwed up comprehension and the 1st writing task...
Maths; 92/100 =D; easy shit...
Science; 62/100.... the average for the school was around my mark =P
Geography; 35/50.... looks like i had a huge downturn in geo...
History; 45/50.... gotta say its at least the top 10 in the grade though...

As for elective and PDHPE trials... meh...
