You should prioritise your subject selections over the selective schooling status. So yeah, go Oatley.
I'm going there next year.
If you go then I might see you. lols.
Good Luck.

I'm sort of questioning why an independent school hasn't been considered.

You suck AMOGH. =)

btw go to Sydney Tech if you like/are good at maths, so you can drop Business Studies + Psychology in your HSC year. Take up 4 unit Maths.

But yeah.. only do this if you're certain you're going to take 4 unit maths I guess.
So then you would be left with Maths Ext 2, Adv English, Physics and Chemistry, the "Asian Combo."

Go for Oatley. Even though the selective one has a high standard, you wont do nearly as well if you dont do subjects you WANT.

If you dont enjoy it, you wont go as well

Psych is a one unit subject aimed as a filler for your 12 units in the school only. Syd Tech only offers 12 units maximum for the school so yeah...

I'd prefer a school that allows 13+ units tbh.. I even heard some schools offered 14 units (like epping boys)

The 12 unit limit is only for the school and it excludes TAFE however.

is 15 units directly allowed by the school or are you only allowed to do 13 units in school and 2 units of TAFE?

My new school though, allows 15 units (13 + TAFE)

+1...just come to girra lol
you cant just say"just come to girra"
T^T

i wish. LOL.

i'd probably go to tech for the sake of saying ï go to tech".

then, i suppose it'd be like a sort of social status thing.
but choose the one you'd prefer. nothing sucks more than being forced to do something you might suck at.
