Ah fuck Credit, Pass, Pass Conceded

feckfeckfeck oh well if anyone asks 2 passes and a credit ;)

EDIT:

Ok wtf I don't see how I got a PC in one of my subjects.

I did pretty crap in assessments but I don't think that would've made me fail
Got high passes for 35%
Low pass for 40%
Got 6/15 for 15%

And 10% I don't know cos it was an interview/evaluation but I honestly don't think I could've failed that maybe gotten 5/10 but still

Even if I got
17.5/35 (Which is unlikely cos it was +pass but anyway)
20/40
6/15
=43.5/90

I truly honestly don't think I got 3.5 for my evaluation

So can your marks be scaled down?
WTF I'm so confused I hate this subject

Ok I think I got
6/15
9/15
12/20
20/40
That together is 47 which is what I got for the subject. I really don't think I got 0 for the evaluation..is there some way to check this?

LAW 423 Intellectual Property Law 76 D
LAW 500 Litigation 75 D

First HD in law......most of my marks are borderline distinctions anyway

Overall WAM for whole double dgree 79.88
WAM for LAW - 75.89
Overall GPA - 3.65
GPA for Law - 3.66

I am now waiting on confirmation for my award...

awesome results...but um wam/gpa/9 marks?

I mean that, for the Psychology Honours year you need to a weighted average mark (WAM) of 70 IIRC. So obviously getting 75 and 84 (though both distinctions), are different things in this system.

It used to be the case that you needed a GPA of 3.5 (half way credit>distinction). So getting 76 and 84 in PSY units, would be the same thing for this purpose. (Both distinctions). But even though 76 and 84 are both distinctions and mean the same thing in the 'old system', getting 84 (the extra 9 marks) will actually mean something in the new system.

I thought MQ used a SNG in psych though... I haven't seen anything about a WAM. This is the latest info from the official website on getting into Honours:

An average Standard Numerical Grade (SNG) of 70 over all Psychology units (including STAT170); AND an average SNG of 70 over all Psychology 300-level units. The calculation of the average SNG will take into account the credit point value of each unit, thus achieving a weighted average SNG.

Are they essentially the same thing, or am I just being incredibly daft and missing something? :p

Sorry, I meant SNG :p. I assumed they were the same thing (well not really I forgot that MQ use the term SNG, and since other people are throwing around WAM I followed suit :p). Searching google WAM and SNG appear to be the same thing. (UNSW, USYD use the term WAM)

i dont know if every subject does it, but I know that we were able to go and look at our German papers a couple of times - and that had the mark on it....so you could always email/call/go see the convenor of the subject and talk to them about it...

It should, unless they changed the hons policy...... it was quite a gamble with 100% final but it paid off.....

Book an appointment with the unit convenor! Last semester I got a PC for one of my subject but it was the result of assessments and midterms being counted only and not my finals and I knew it pretty much straight away. Although I didn't book an appointment, I went to see the unit convenor the next day to his office and it turned out to be a problem with the latter's spreadsheet which was not formulated properly. My REAL result(including the finals) was a CR. It was then updated on eStudent. Good Luck!
