Doing 4U almost definitely improves your 3U. 4U definitely helped my 3U.increasing the chances of 3U affecting your ATAR... doesn't seem very pleasant for me coz I suck at 3u.

Don't worry, you're in the same boat as me.
I was cruising top of 2u, did my 3u paper and died horribly. My 2u final exam mark? 82%. My 3u final exam mark? 38%. Still, top was 42% which was nice.
But I hear the MX2 Harder 3u helps, tons.
