Well my psychiatrist, Dr Catherine Bailey, said that the course would be good preparation for Medicine (Biology). She has done a B Med, is a FRACGP and a Cert. Child Psychiatrist. She has gone through all the training and said that she found Biology to be more useful for medicine.

If you love universities so much, do you really think Chemistry is needed for medicine or even Physiotherapy? My friend Caitlin Dunsford does USYD Physio and she's said there was hardly any Chemistry in the first year of the course (2009 for her).

Universities lie, Anna. Surely you know that. They're like schools. They don't always have your best interests at heart. Smart graduates make them look good. And they don't always disclose information that they should.

wendybird demonstrates that zero maths and zero science can rule!!!!!!!
Damn straight. But why would you deprive yourself of the two most interesting and useful subjects ever? :p

If you don't do science at university you can never find a cure for cancer or jab people with needles! :ninja:hehehehe

Imma be one crazy G.P.+paediatrician!

Great to hear your perspective! You've sold me - I can definitely see where bio would be more relevant, and its great to get it from the source :)
+1

I was merely stated that that was what the Universities asked for.

But after hearing it after a primary source with a logical argument looking at both chem and med rather of your 2nd hand recounts, i will give bio more weighting in subjects for med courses. Although i would assume that one interested in med would have read in depth about it hmmm.

There were five people in our year who did both histories and got over 99 (quite a few others who did just one history). You are not disadvantaged ...

It's possible to achieve anything over 99+ with any combination of subjects.

i've even seen people get 95+ with both standard english and general maths, so of course its possible :)
aslong as you set your heart to it and keep working smart and hard at it, you'll get your desired 99+ atar :)

Was Schoey the one on the thread 'post your sc results here' who thought annabackwards was called nicole and went to marian college or something?

Yes, he is also the one who's wonderful logical brain which maintains that i was "misleading" by giving accurate information of the scaling process >.<"

This actually deserves a negative reputation. You haven't bothered to PM me and ask what I meant. I hardly maintain that you are misleading. I just said it confuses people to give them so much information - it's like an overload. But if you want to misinterpret everything I say and take everything literally then go ahead and be a bitch:(
