I think having a career lined up gives you more motivation. I know that I wouldnt be doing any more study than my holiday homework this holidays if I was going into the year with no real goal.

yep sydney
Law cut-offs in unis other than UNSW or USyd aren't that bad, have you looked into that?
B Science (Psychology)/B Laws at Uni of Canberra
@ yups: You should consider that unless you hate science with a passion. Oh and you seem like a very "artsy" person when I look at your current subjects :). B Arts/B Laws?

Isn't that more for maths-oriented people? :p

You're welcome. :)

I would like to do something science-related (science, engineering, pharmacy or maybe even something med-related like medical imaging and radiation sciences) but don't know exactly what yet (I need more info too, lol). I'm considering doing a double degree (from the options I've mentioned earlier).

Oh that's interesting :). I wish I was good at maths and sciences. I used to want to be a dentist (LOL so much for that ><)

i guess. i am a really competitive person. and luckily i had this guy in pretty much all my classes that always beat me by 1. naturally i strived to beat him... got even a few times but never surpassed him... i reakon he would have raised my uai by a fair bit. there was never a certain career to strive for just the atar mark.

also my year coordinater and teachers never thought i was worth their time... i certainly proved them wrong... well actually they left my name off the schools high achievers list for anyone over 90... and i was way over 90

Well done, I'm glad you did yourself proud. I really hate teachers who look down on their students and think they are stupid. Did you beat that guy with regards to the ATAR?

I was like that. Had so much shit. Teachers thought I was a truant and that I didnt care about education. I told them what I wanted to do about halfway through last year and they pretty much laughed at me and told me I was setting my goals too high. Thats so wrong, you cant say that. I was so misunderstood. Thankfully they came around and hopefully next year I can stick it right up em even moreso.

If you don't know what to do , don't worry I am 21 and only attending uni this year! If you wanna get an idea in the UAC course search just put the ATAR you have/expect and go through the courses listed and see what interests you.
