Probably 0-4 each year, depending on the difficulty of the exam. Three and Four being very rare I believe.

Edit: I took this are raw 100, if it were aligned 100, it would probably be about 10

I'm talking about aligned 100.

I've heard about kids who got 100 aligned in 3 unit but didn't get a state rank so I think it's more than 10.

I have friends who achieved 100 aligned without a state rank...so it is more than 10. I doubt it would reach more than 20 though.

I find it difficult to understand how these kids get 100 aligned as their final HSC mark and don't get a state rank. Surely decimal points cant make that much of a difference.

I believe the decimal points go to 3 decimal points? I'm not sure.

It goes to 1 decimal point. Then they consider 2 unit results (Obviously those doing 4 unit would have their 4 unit marks considered).

Then how did Matt Menzies (in 2008) tie with equal first with Sen Lin in Mathematics Extension 2 when he didn't get a state rank in Mathematics Extension 1?

BOS works in weird ways. All I'm doing is repeating what they said on their website.
