I thought I'd be a lot more motivated, I don't even want to think about the HSC. I know it's still school holidays, and we have 2ish weeks left, but I've only finished writing my IPT notes and only 1/4 of the way though my Legal Notes... I'm scared I won't be able to finish my Senior Science, English and SOR notes..

Is anybody else here not motivated/freaking out to the extent of not even wanting to think about it?

lol, i remember this time last yr, had bugger all notes made because they are just so time consuming to make, in the end i attempted my exams by just looking through an excel summary book i had used throughout the year to study for the hsc (i would not recommend solely using excel books, however they are useful)

Even though you dont do maths all of the people that do maths DO NOT solely concentrate on past papers and trial papers, do some past papers then do some mixed revision from your textbook to ensure you know all the stuff. If you look at a maths trial and a maths hsc they are completely different, in all trial maths (3u) papers the first question always has angle between lines, division of interval, remainder/factor theorm, in the hsc papers you will usually only get one of those, NOT all three!! Also another interesting thing i noticed with 3u maths, going back to 1990 they have never had a greatest coeffiecent question, just think about that.

I don't think is completely true... but if you have to totally sacrifice all of your social life just for the HSC, then in my personal opinion - you are barely living and not treating yourself fairly.

Better to freak out now rather than right before your hsc exam like i did
Its good though that you are aware of the immense work load and do not put it off. Appreciating how much or how little time you have left is also a good reality check, cos I was for the greater part of the year, under the illusion that I had weeks and weeks of solid, 100% study time left. But as hours passed I realised, between playing a game or chatting with friends, that I was wasting my time. It's only january, just think logically about how you allocate your time to your study needs, what is most difficult for you and what has the most amount of work left to do, and just prioritise. I now, nothing was as satisfying as finishing off a clean set of notes, ready for quick revision. Just push through this day or week, and youll be fine.

omg relax
i didnt finish my notes until a day before the HSC exam
especially business, i started writing notes for 3 topics like a week before the HSC, only just finished them the night before the exam so had like no time to actually study them

for some subjects (ie. chemistry) i never finished my notes, and i barely studied certain topics

and look where that got me XD

Try not to stress - but do realise that everyone, and I mean EVERYONE has moments of panic and frustration.

The only thing to do is just to plod away - working consistently, and you will, guaranteed, be ok. Really.

If you have kept up with your school work, notes - then you should feel great about being on top. If you havent - there is still PLENTY of time to catch up. Notes don't really take that long, and the key thing is just to start.

Even half an hour - knowing you've done something will make you feel much better.

Just start. :)
