- use angle in semi-circle to prove points are concyclic
- similar triangles for some length questions
- PS/PM = e. May come in handy
- know distance formula, midpoint formula, gradient, etc
- draw a diagram!

coroneos supplement is nasty in conics :(

Whenever a focal distance is involved, always always always refer back to the focus-directrix definition: PS = ePM.

Another invaluable idea: if you find yourself using the distance formula, stop and think. Please.

If using the distance from the foci definition of the ellipse or hyperbola and the eccentricity is 1, the locus is the interval of a straight line and not a circle!
