what are the job prospects like for bonded medical places? are the salaries in "areas of workforce shortage" reasonable? i also heard the big specialties like orphopaedics and ophthalmology won't be available?

also, exactly how economically viable is paying out the bond? if you think about it, the overall cost won't be much more than griffith uni dentistry...

Salaries across the public health system for doctors are pretty standardised. You should be able to complete and practice those specialties since there are shortages in most, but getting into those training programs is another thing.

It's very hard to say, since BMP grads are only now starting to emerge from the system.

so at the moment it seems like i shouldn't be worrying about salary/prospects? also, are bonded graduates are free to work privately if they desire?

i just heard that having a BMP will severely limit your ability to specialise? is there any reason i've been hearing this a lot? i know it's unlikely that i'll end up practicing those specialties due to their highly competitive nature but i want to just be sure. for now.
