Looks like i found the thread where this game belonged to. Does anyone own the sims 3.. is it any better or still the same stuff from sims 2?

There already is a Sims 3 thread, just so you know. It's in the first 3 or 4 pages of this section.

IMO sims 3 is the sims 2 but loading times are far more convenient and far faster also gameplay is more fluid.
