Personally I'd go with option two as the worst. I find that 5 hours straight is bearable, especially at those hours.
And how long would your class on Wednesday be? If it's only one hour, there's no way I'd choose that. But if it's any longer, option two wouldn't be so bad.
However I prefer as little days at uni as possible.

how long do you have to travel to get to uni?

I'd take the day off if it were me, but if you live on campus and its only like 15 minutes from your house, going on wed would stop you sleeping all day and wasting te day imo

depends on the situation for me 1hr of classes is way worse cos that would mean like 3-4 hours of travel for 1 or 2 hours of classes. If you live close though it is not too bad to go for one class.

so i think this is what im taking

monday: 11am-5pm (2 hr break)
tues: 10am-4pm (1 hr break)
wed: day off
thurs: 8am-3pm (1 hr break, 3 hr break)
fri: 8am-12pm (no break)

is this good? especially that 3 hour break... is it alright or is it bad to have a break that long

Not really. There is nothing 'bad' about a break, as long as you can use it productively. Go research, do your readings, hang with friends, catch up on the club get together etc etc. Or just nap on the grass.

I'm sure you'll find something to do.

it would take about 2 weeks before you stopped turning up for the 1 hour class on wednesday. especially if its just a lecture.
take the day off, you can work (like paid work), or just have time off.

the 3 hour break will be really handy for doing research for assignments, group work meetings, using the library, or, depending on what you like, running BBQ's or handing out club and society brochures etc..

You get about a 15 min break between lectures anyway. in my course we pretty much went 9-5 mon to fri with a 1 hour lunch break, but we always got at least 10 mins between lectures to go to the loo, get a coffee etc - otherwise you can imagine how many people would be paying attention by the end of the 11am lecture.... zzzzz
