Just wondering what people's opinions on death are? (Both for themselves and for others).

I've recently come to the conclusion that if I die, it doesn't matter, so therefore I don't care when it happens. If I died tomorrow nothing would change for anyone, sure they may be sad for a little while, but they'll get over it soon enough. There aren't that many people that I know that would really care that much. I'm the black sheep.

I don't care, I welcome it, bring it on I dare say.

Your opinions?

But wouldn't you be pissed off that you didn't get to do a ton of shit before you died? I guess it'd depend on what you think happens after you die. I know I wouldn't care that much if I died young but got to fly around and shit in heaven.

That being said, I'm too busy thinking about what's going to happen tomorrow or in a month, a year, 10 years or whatever rather than thinking about me dying.

Also; cheer up bro, nothing bad lasts.

I have no ambition. There's not much I want to do in life. Nothing that can't be put off indefinitely. My life is relatively pointless tbh.

If I just cease to exist, I don't mind. I'd hate to live forever anyway. If there's an afterlife, so be it. Just as long as I can come back as something or someone else.

Stuff comes along, people, ideas, songs or whatever and shit changes. You might feel like that now, and that's perfectly fine, as long as you don't give in to the idea that you were put in the world just to be a blip on the radar. You got a lot of shit to do before you die, we all do, so lez do eet.

No offence, but I've heard this every year since I was 12. I'm now 19, I've met people, done things and my outlook hasn't changed. I don't think it will.

If you think about it, 99% of the human race is just a blip. I'm no different, nor will I ever be.

Then by now you should realise that this outlook of yours isn't working for you. Do you want to live a mundane life? Sure, I bet people and circumstance has fucked you over time and time again, but is that really enough to deter you from doing anything? Do you really want to be one of that 99% of humans that are too scared and weak to stand up and do something and be counted?

Of course you don't, you're better than that.

You deserve more than this.

Life has shown me one thing; don't try because you will fail. I've avoided it, but it's ringing true.

Truth is, I don't want to be counted. If I ever did anything worth a mention, I'd make it anonymous.

I can't figure out ... are you obsessed with death or fear it... as we call it necrophobia. Man it happens when we don't have purpose in life, maybe you are a little depressed about some aspect of your life so you are feeling like end...

Just buck up... have fun make friends, don't look into the dark sides of life.

I'm not scared about death - only unbearable pain.
Same. I would like to die in my sleep, ideally. I don't want to die from a terminal illness, or as a result of someone else's actions (e.g. car runs me over at a red light, stabbed for my handbag, etc.)

I'm naturally very emotional, but death doesn't hit me that hard. I feel numb for a while, sure, maybe get a few tears in my eyes, but I move on quite easily. I'm accepting that it happens.

lol someone is depressed

idk i dont care how i die really as long as it isnt something shit like cancer or beig stabbed

being stabbed would be the worst

car crash (like at 140km/h+)
falling from a great height
shot in the head

etc would all be fine

Death is the natural conclusion to life
thank you captain obvious, i hadnt noticed

fuck youre shit

personally ive been really sad about other peoples death, but not really concerned about my own

but yeah this thread really is depressing

to OP: if you dont wanna live for yourself then live for someone/something else, death may not bother you, but that means you dont want to persevere and hence, living to you is pointless, and i can honestly empathise with that

but dying doesnt help anyone, thats why no one notices, because it doesnt affect them at all, except people who youre close with

then, why not live for those people? why not at least give them the peace of mind that you are still alive, because although you may not think that you are anything, they might, and simply dying because you dont feel like living just isnt good enough

if you get rid of this outlook that you are shit then you might actually achieve something. Going into something with the mindset of "everything ive ever tried ive failed at" isnt gonna get you anywhere

just, try living :)
