The Dough Anthony All Stars cover of Throw Your Arms Around Me is close to the best piece of music I've heard period.

I actually think most of the songs the Doug Anthony's covered turned out better than their originals,Heard it Through the Grapevine, The Auld Triangle, Misunderstood are all wonderful.

There's a Stairway To Heaven cover that's circling P2P networks, that's attributed to Pink Floyd. It's not by them, but it's a great version. Anyone know who it's actually by?

Teardrop - Newton Faulkner (originally Massive Attack)
Don't Rain on My Parade - Lea Michele (originally Barbara Streisand)
Smooth Criminal - Alien Ant Farm (as good as MJ's)
Anyway You Want It - Rise Against (as good as the original by Journey)
Taking Chances - Lea Michele (as good at original by Celine Dion)

There's the few that I can think of right now xD

love it.

Sunday bloody sunday (acoustic) - paramore (U2) is pretty decent. I'm also quite impartial to Time after time - all time low (cindi lauper, sp). Also, even though its shit in every way, I like blink-182 covering The Cure's "A letter to elise".

Jeff Buckley does great covers of 'Hallelujah', 'Lover and 'Lilac Wine' by Leonard Cohen and James Shelton Respectively.
