infinity/infinity = anything EXPLAINED!
definition of infinity = a large number (WRONG!!! or at least not fully explained)
Infinity, in simpleton terms, means a number that u cbf counting too, after all we're humans. Even computers can't count all the numbers out.
Therefore, for one person infinity might mean 1000000 to them and for another person infinity might mean 10^10000000 Hence if you divide them out, it doesn't have to equal to one.
Another way of putting it might be whats infinity + infinity = infinity.
therefore whats (infinity + 10 x infinity)/infinity=????
yeah what the ...
Anyways the only real important of determining infinity in the 4u course is in graphs.
because you might have a curve such as y=x^2 and y=1/x
and if you were asked to find the multiple of these two curves you would get the (at x=0) 0 x infinity which should give you an undefined answer since 0 can be written as 1/infinity. But u realise y=x should be ur new curve so in this case infinity/infinity = 0.
