HEyas, i was wondering if i needed to do these tests and/or any other ones (if there are other ones) for a course in physiotherapy.

Also the cut offs are like wtf like 98's and my question is; what can i do to achieve this score? I know the answer is study my arse off but what about extra marks, alternative pathways etc.:jaw::jaw::jaw::jaw::jaw::jaw::jaw::jaw::jaw::jaw::jaw:

every 'alternative' pathway involves studying
and afaik you won't need stat or umat but i was never one for health sciences so you may want to look that one up, seeing as you're planning on going to uni next year

I don't think you need to do the UMAT for physiotherapy. I think it's for careers in medicine where you have to be able to talk to people about sensitive subjects like if you're going to be a GP or surgeon?
And I'm pretty sure STAT is for mature aged students.

The uni site would usually tell you the prereqs and cutoffs for the course.
Found it: How to apply - Domestic undergraduate - The University of Sydney

ARE YOU FOR REALL!!!!!!!! 98.55 holy
Usyd is better for physio aye compared to Wsyd?
and also hows the campus at Wsyd and Usyd like if im doing the physio course?
Should i take the tests anyway because if i dont make it in i would have to do a backup course and transfer and if that backup course requires the STAT OR UMAT THEN im gg. <====(is this a wise choice if i dont make it in?)
What other options do i have if i dont make it in?

Health Science, Med Science or normal science, you need the STAT for Pharmacy which I think you need an ATAR of 93 and a STAT of 160 or something for USYD.

You don't need a high ATAR for pharmacy. Some of my friends got into USYD with high 80's.

so we can do pharmacy with an ATAR around the high 80s?
I thought it was 98-99
LOL no. pharm is probably the easiest of the allied health courses to get into (except medical science). low 80's if you're willing to go interstate. there's far too many pharm schools around atm. not a good time to be doing pharm.

fyi, physio does not req umat for anywhere except monash i believe?

Ahs... thanks for the details so physio you don't need to do UMAT?
But we got this pink sheet and said UMAT is a prerequisite for entry into most health sciences i.e physio, med, dent, opt and pharm

ok now I'm really confused

very few physio/pharm schools req umat (afaik there is only 1 physio and 1 pharm school that require umat?). they just put those courses in the umat category so ppl can apply to every school possible.

but yes, all optom schools and almost all med schools req umat. curiously enough, the majority of dent schools DON'T require umat (with the change of griffith to atar only).
If you're talking about 2009 HSC, that's false.
i have no idea about usyd's cutoff but i think if u get 80+ for ur atar u get automatic entry into charles darwin's pharmacy course lol.
