Macquarie fell from 7th last year due to their declining performance and expenditures. UTS rose from 17th to 12th due to increase in students and development in classes/organization/tech. UWS didn't even make this list....
An again in terms of
law school rankings, Macquarie is ranked 9th, whilst UTS comes in at an unexpectedly low 12th place. UWS again, didn't even make the grade in the Top Law Schools list.
Macquarie Law used to be good, but due to their hefty expenditures in the recent years, the teaching quality, and the resources may have dwindled - which explains why they've been dropping in ranks. Nonetheless, Macquarie is still a
good university, whether you study law or not, as attested to in its rankings. In NSW (excluding Canberra) it's ranked as the 3rd best University, which seems like a good effort to me.
People often assume Macquarie is not that great due to ATARs and rumours.
