Yeh, I think it could possibly be just that my room gets really hot as there is p much no ventilation. I've got a proper fan set up infront of my comp but that doesn't seem to do anything much. I also have a portable aircon faggot thing but that has like no affect on my room temp either :S.

Thing is when I first got the comp in like Jan 09 the GC (9800GTX+) idled at about 38-40, last summer however it was idling at 54-58 which is ridiculous.

And even at LANs where people usually have really cool comps mine is still fairly high :S

Seems quite mysterious...

edit your right, raid 5 is bullshit, they are stand alone.
One of them has ubuntu installed.
