Nah that's not what he meant.
'_be' said the produce tests are available externally/online. This is incorrect afaik. timw was asking for the location of the external page (which again, does not exist, afaik).

I was supervising the other night, and I had to give a tender swap to one of my operators. Now, the only problem was she needed to split payment, i.e. half on credit, half on cash. Since the tender swap doesn't allow to split payment, I'm just curious to how you guys would fix it?

I'm assuming it is being tender swapped because it was put through entirely as cash?

in that case, calculate half of the amount, and then just tender swap for that amount. The cash part pf the payment can stay as it is.

I have an interview for a casual service cashier position on Tuesday and I'm not sure if it is a group interview or one-on-one, but according to WoW careers there are six listings for the same job which means they are looking for six people? Plus I was asked to bring along my resume and birth certificate. Any advice would be very helpful :)

yeah do that.. and monitor the job search..

new jobs come up at least once a week..

make sure your ready to work in groups as well because the 1st step is the group interview.. where the look at how well you work with others
Thankfully that is one of my strengths. Just gotta wait for them to pop up in my local area even though there are about 5 of them. Monitoring Coles aswell but they seem to update it less often and theres not as many in this area.
Cheers again mate :D

Funny quote of the day: (we were talking about this guy who had been produce manager for about 15 years and they finally moved him to bakery specialist simply because they needed a spot for him somewhere higher up)

Bakery manager: "In woolworths its not what you know, its who you sleep with"
Me: "So thats how your a bakery manager it all makes sense now!"

She preceded by teasing me about how I sleep with the wrong people because of my bakery assistant position. :(

I had to laugh one day when I'd made a packet cake for morning tea (well whatever you call the nightfill break at 3am). I offered the bakery manager some saying I'd made it. I then asked if that meant I could work in the Woolworths bakery since I had mastered a packet cake.

Elaborate? ^^
It is extremely conceivable that my store could lose three, if not more supervisors, within say the next month-6 weeks.
One resigned this morning. Had a 9.30-6.30 supervision shift. Rang about half an hour ago and told the SM to forget about it.
2IC probably isn't coming back.
Hopefully westpac works out well for me.
3IC just found out that she doesn't need to give 2 months notice if she wants to leave, so she's now looking.
Our Sat/Sun supervisor also plans on leaving.
The girl that was trained to replace the supervisor that left in Jan (who still isn't at all confident yet) is also planning on leaving.

I mean, we've all gone 'fuck we hate our jobs, lets get out of here'. But never before has there been actually job applying, resume writing, reference gathering etc. This is different. Pretty much as soon as someone finds a job that could suit another one its like 'oh what about this one'.

I wish it was me leaving today! So I'm now doing the 9.30-6.30 sup shift today, to be honest with you guys I was planning a sickie today but I guess there's no way of that now :(

EDIT: Happy birthday Ben!

Finally home :)

Did 7-3:30, best shift with my 2ic, helped supervise, speaking of supervisors. Two of ours have lost there privillages to be supervisors, (One was the one I didn't get along with so woo!) I am so tired now :(

funniest lunch break with me and groceries 2ic playing flight control on his iphone, and him getting shitty about me beating him but forgave me :) and he was calling me "self inflicted girl" all day, as I went out last night and got PLASTERED absolutely hammered, ouch :( but hey had an awesome night. He bought me hangover food for lunch, maccas and red bull.

Hey can anyone tell me if, legally, casuals require a doctors certificate after calling in sick? Our manager has told us that we must call in ourselves, not our "mummy or daddy" (which isn't really fair if you've got your head in a bucket or a migrain) and we must present a doctors certificate at our next shift. Is this legally enforcable?
