lol thats pretty easy, in my opinion they SHOULD NOT give you the substitutions for 3unit. I know in 4unit they dont tell you the substitution, they should do the same for 3unit.

90% of the time the substitution is fairly obvious, basically "whatever is the most complicated part , you substitute" or thats how I kinda think of it
I reckon they should be allowed to not give the substitions in some questions but still give it in easier ones.

Perms and combs is pretty spesh, some people get it and some people don't.
Also parametrics is a bitch, I still can't do any of it. I also hate circle geo, just remembering the proofs makes me wanna die.

Circle geometry isn't difficult for MX1; for MX2 it can be more challenging. You must study it the right way!

I didn't think perms and combs existed in year 11 mx1?.. or was that because my school did it differently
+1 cos a lot of schools leave it yr12 or even just before hsc so not much time is allocated on it
if there's more time spent on it , it shouldn't be that difficult

Permutations and combinations was hard shit at first... though tbh if you think about the question then you shouldn't do too badly...

Some trig can get ridiculously hard, there was one question in our yearly which about 3/190 people doing mx1 got full marks for, and it was a trig question combined with something else, can't remember now.

I struggled on parametrics for a while, but a lot of rigorous routine will make it click, and if you do 4u, doing locus in complex numbers makes parametrics look piss easy...
Perms and combs were okay, some things you have to know about them are weird, but once you understand it it's not too bad.

easiest would definitely be Differentiation or Algebra LOL
Hardest would be Permutations and Combinations.
Parametrics is not that hard. Exam questions on Parametrics do not get too difficult. If you do Conics in maths Extension 2, you'll totally kill Parametrics. Conics is a devil to deal with, but not as much as a devil as Harder 3 unit (including probability and Perms and Combs)

just keep practising and you'll be fine

Totally yes, Conics helps you destroy 3U parametrics.
