im gunna go out and by myself a maths textbook tomoz and was wondering what to get i already got cambridge. and if i was to by fitzpatrick should i get the extension one or advanced one( which one is more relevant form prelim)

If you do 3U get the 3U one, if you do 2U get the 2U one

Fitzpatrick is very good, i like it and from the others on this website they love it too

The 2-unit textbook, the yellow one, includes prelim 2-unit and hsc 2-unit. The 3-unit textbook, the green one, includes prelim 3-unit and hsc 3-unit subjects, it doesn't include anything from 2-unit.

Best textbook out there is Terry Lee in my opinion (hard to find, can be bought online), IIRC its got fully worked solutions (unsure if the recent editions are still like this) although you'll want to avoid relying on it alone, go get another textbook to back it up cause the summary isn't so great.

They are both necessary with some Preliminary parts in the 3 Unit course. If you have the money, I would suggest you get both.

in 3unit we have done trig, functions, quadratic functions i think that includes the sum and products of roots. i think thats it

If money is an issue you can try to buy them second hand.
