No. I did it by hand. I couldn't be bothered deriving the formula.

Nope. He wanted us to try methods and was experiment. It really was to make sure we did some maths work.

I used two methods.

I figured by hand the first couple hours and used a series formula to get to it ( the answer I told you was for much longer )

The second I went wild. I got two. Series formulas ( time to plant and grow) and solved them together.

I got fairly similar answers.
