You are beyond help if you think making an example of them would in any way deter someone who wanted to do anything remotely similar in the future.

The whole reason he was doing this is because he is annoyed at the socialst left government and if they abandon their ways and 'make and example' out of him then he will get exactly what he wants, political change even if it's just for him in this particular case.

Really? Killing this human being would bring back the other human beings? Would it lessen the blow of our loss? Most Norwegians don't see it that way; we don't agree with this biblical desire for vengeance. Granted, in this particular case I'm sure some Norwegians will feel differently, but we aren't going to completely alter our justice system for just one man. Even this depraved individual will not get that dubious honour.

Our justice system is one of rehabilitation and reintroduction to society. Those individuals who are simply too damaged to ever be released (of which there are very few) are simply imprisoned for life. Bad people, yes, but still human beings. We won't publicly kill a fellow human being just because we feel like it, out of some desire for revenge. How is that any better than killing someone over an ideological viewpoint? Both are abhorrent. Both are murder.

As for us having a "retarded" justice system? While you were reading about the appallingly decent living conditions provided to our prison population and the leniency granted to our criminals, you should have also looked up some numbers, namely the per capita crime rate and the number of repeat offenders. In both cases, that number is extremely low. The justice system is working a hell of a lot better than that of most countries.

Sums it up pretty well.

hmm i guess there is a strong possibility of an accomplice. I'm still wondering why the fuck he chose that method. I mean one day, in the entirety of his existence, he could have done so much more, but he chose not to. I think the idea of that further justifies his attitude to that of brash anger.

Well the bomb went off after work hours and it was during the holiday period (so there was basically no one around, hence the bomb killing 7 as opposed to potentially several dozen if not more) so it really doesn't make any sense considering what he proceded to do at Utoya.

I already know how this sounds, but there is still logic to it. What is happening, not just in Norway, but all over Europe is disgusting. He's brought attention to something that is of up most priority. Astutely voicing your concerns does shit all, its just like Australia. What he did was terrible, i know that but those young people were the future generations already in support of such bullshit, turning Norway into a socialist shithole.
