I have an internal mark of 99, but only expect 75-80 in my HSC, what will happen? (1 Viewer)

The subject is IPT.

Basically the teacher sucks and despite receiving 99 as my internal mark, I am not confident at all.

Don't get me wrong, I will study until my hands bleed, but I hate the subject and the concepts are annoying. I did a past paper recently and got 80% which isnt bad, but its not 99.

How would my total mark be impacted by my internal?

The only impact your internal will have on your HSC mark is your relative rank. I'm assuming with 99 you are first? If so, it's up to your performance in the HSC what you will get as your final mark.

your total mark means nothing, just your rank

presumably you're ranked first and hence the 50% that is your internal mark becomes the HIGHEST mark your cohort produces in the external examination
the 50% that is your external mark is YOUR own external mark

Your 80% figure is a raw mark, not the aligned hsc mark (which is usually higher than the raw) you see in your certificate or whatever. 80% is pretty awesome
