better to be safe then sorry so applying for accomodation just in caseSo dont you wait for results to be released before you apply? (Im not staying on campus, just wondering)
but the applications say they are still open? so I should be pretty safe if I do it now hopefully.I already applied for living on campus. They have already given out the rooms to people. In dec-jan there may be a few spots spare for people who don't get into uni, but other then that, there will be no room left on campus. You had to apply around april. That is when 2012 applications opened.
Thanks! I guess your all set then, which residence are you living on campus? Yeah chose Arscott house because I know somebody who will be living there anyway haha, Im from Sydney so hopefully they will still have enough space on campus because the guy I know got his place already confirmed depending if he gets into to UC or not. Which course are you planning on doing there? Where abouts are you coming from?they leave them open because they give out positions all through the year because people leave. I have already paid my deposit of $600 (which you get back if you don't get in) and signed the contract and everything. You might have more luck at Ascrott House. Its a bit more expensive but meals are included. Good luck, I really hope you get it. Where are you coming from?
nice!! Are you sharing with anyone in the apartments, or is it just you? Haha yeah, I guess we would make friends in no time since we are both living on campus, heard there were a lot of parties too, im doing bachelor of information technology/bachelor of commerce going for early entry haha, I guess next year is going to be a load of fun! see you there! lol.I will be living in the new apartments so pretty good!! Oh thats alright, you lucky you no someone who going there. I plan on doing b.education/b.arts, you? And I'm coming from the blue mountains lol
haha we will be fine oh man sharing sounds like fun though haha, I may put new apartments down as well haha, do you know anyone there?? atleast I don't have to worry about the cooking since Arscott provides the meals haha. hope you get in too!! Did you get a letter from UC about your early entry and how they got our names mixed up? hahaI'm sharing with 4 other people, so 5 altogether which is pretty good. I hope so it will still be scary. I'm going for early entry as well. Good luck on getting in
I guess someone would be lucky to get you as a room mate then since you can cook haha, yeah I got the early preference email too, I think we get notified on like the 8th of december if we got accepted into UC, haha good luck hope you get accepted!Haha I don't no anyone it will be completely new. It all good, I no how to cook so I'll be sweet lol. I'm sure about the early entry but I got an email saying thank you for your preference. It first said Stuart James but then I got another one saying my name lol. Wait, so did you get an actual letter or an email?
oh woops haha, yeah I meant the email about the preferences not the early entry lol, my bad :S sorry if I scared you haha see you next year!my email didnt mention anything about early preference only about selecting on uac :S lol does it actually say early preference on it
I don't have idea about Accomodation @ canberra University. Is it good?Ok so where abouts are you guys staying at UC? I haven't applied yet and I better start looking for accommodation or else I will be screwed haha, have you guys applied/ started looking for accommodation?
After living on campus for all of this year, I hated it!I don't have idea about Accomodation @ canberra University. Is it good?
Like you said I guess it does depend with who you live with, to be honest I'm actually enjoying it? Haha, but moving out next year too new apartments which seems ironic haha, with 5 other people who seemed more study focused and quiter I guess,After living on campus for all of this year, I hated it!
I guess it depends on what your after. I came to university to study and do well but most people on campus don't care. So there is parties all the time, loud music, people yelling. It fun at the start, trust me, but after awhile it gets annoying when its 24/7.
Also, it would depend on who you share with. I was put with really bad people who would smash glass everywhere, smash on my door at 3am, break things, steal other peoples stuff, things like that.
I would personally not recommended it if your going there is work. Plus there is 1500 people on campus, 450 parking spots (you will NEVER find a park EVER). They are introducing a $15 a week parking fee so it will be very competitive to even get a parking spot.
