I'm anti conformist. Everyone has an iPhone or a Samsung. If there's one phone company that YOU MUST NEVER BUY FROM its Sony Ericcson. Fucking shit kents.read a couple of reviews and what not, I've lost my trust with motorola ever since I bought a trash phone 5ish years ago (I dont recall which one, but from motorola)... I'd rather just go with Samsung/Apple phones tbh
Care to name a few br8?ummm get it if you need the ruggedness and waterproofness
otherwise there are better phones at that price point
My main appeal to this phone is that it is a tank spec wise. Removing Motobloat also improves speed and battery life, as well as makes sure you don't get hit with a huge data charge. It's largely customizable, from what I can gather. My main conviction is that there have been cases of screen cracks and Motorola not offering replacement.Spec-wise it looks amazing, its running android isnt it? I've been out of the loop for a while lol.
It's a tank specs-wise? Lolwut? No it isn't.My main appeal to this phone is that it is a tank spec wise. Forgot to add that for the price, it's a tank spec wise. It's a tank specs-wise? Lolwut? No it isn't.
defy only has an 800mhz old generation CPU, only does VGA video capture, only android 2.2 without hacking, and is thick and chunky (a tradeoff for durability i guess)Care to name a few br8?

Wow. Tanks bro.defy only has an 800mhz old generation CPU, only does VGA video capture, only android 2.2 without hacking, and is thick and chunky (a tradeoff for durability i guess)
on a $29 cap, just to name a few:
-google nexus s (1ghz hummingbird cpu, gets ICS very soon, the new android OS)
-htc incredible s (1ghz scorpion cpu, 8mp camera, 720p video recording) - i have this phone and it's awesome
-htc desire z (has a slide out physical keyboard)
^^all of those phones have android 2.3 gingerbread without requiring a hack, defy only comes with 2.2 iirc
another suggestion is the iphone 3gs although it's pretty outdated now but if you really like iOS then whatever...
also to be considered on a $29 cap,Wow. Tanks bro.
I've seen some reviews of Incredible S and and Nexus S, they both have many issues regarding calls not be recieved, messages not being displayed and random reboots. IMO the desire Z could break with its precarious Z hinge. So I'm considering the Galaxy S. Do you know if it can be flashed with a stock rom?just some minor things that i personally thought didn't matter but may mean something to you:
nexus S - curved LCD screen, stock android (so gets updates faster)
incredible S - 8mp camera, 720p HD videos, dual-LED flash
galaxy S - super AMOLED display, has a physical home button
Most of these issues have been fixed with firmware updates. The message issue on the HTC has been fixed.I've seen some reviews of Incredible S and and Nexus S, they both have many issues regarding calls not be recieved, messages not being displayed and random reboots. Umm okay you've had issues with them but Samsung phones are consistently highly recommended on reputable tech sites so I guess most people are happy with them.I honestly couldn't recommend any Samsung mobile device...problem after problem. I have the Nexus S, since launch too. As previously said, you get random reboots, touchscreen recognition issues, in particular, trying to type. And not to mention the keyboard software installed is rubbish. Constant double letters and spelling mistakes, sometimes it won't register a letter at all... my girlfriend had the Galaxy S and similar problems... although her phone was plagued with that horrible memory bug that destroys the phone itself from within. Not to mention I know plenty other people with these problems also, as well as the large amount of other people around the world with same problems. That is why these two particular models have decreased in price so fast, mainly the nexus s. the new galaxy s2 isn't great either, inheriting similar problems from its predecessors. HTC do make some slick devices, some gimicky, but far more reliable for the money than a Samsung device... my 2c.
