School Rank is unknown, as it wasn't in the whole last for 2010 for some reason. But we have a string cohort, and expect to be in the Top 450. Probably Top 400.

These are my ranks/assessment marks/estimated raw marks.

Adv. English- 20/36, 75 %, and 75
Modern History- 2/15, 84%, and 83
Ancient History won't count so it doesn't matter. Just ignore it but I am 7/20, with 70% and expecting 75 for raw.
Economics- 3/5, 78%, and 80
General Mathematics- 8/82, 85%, and 88
Extension History- 2/4, 83%, and 43/50
Studies of Religion II- 3/25, 82% and 92

Thanks for any help, and am happy to do the same back for anyone! :)

Yikes for English Adv. apart from that I'd expect 94.6 +/- a few points because it is just an estimate. Plus your school rank is not known and is guessed. If you done better in the HSC you may hit above 90 if not see my post below.

I gotta agree with you because the school rank is unknown and all the scores fall under 90 most of the time but hopefully this is not the case and they'll reach the aim.

If you want a more honest estimate I have to say 88.6-89.6 because your school rank is in the 400s as you predicted and some of your results are scaled off. Hopefully you do better and I'm wrong and you get higher than my original estimate. All the Best.

Thanks for your replies.

I hope I get above 90, but I only need 83 for my course. At least this gives me some hope for that as I have been stressing for weeks.
But yeah my cohort has like 20-30 good students and the rest don't care so our rank will be distorted due to them which sucks.

Theres always ones who give 100% while others feed off them. So you do not know your school rank at all? Hmm you'll hit above 83 by a length. All the Best and Good Luck for next week and main rounds. :)

And not a clue! We have only had 3 HSC's though as we are like a new school and almost an experiment school for the Broken Bay Diocese. We get all the resources and what not yet our school doesn't even get ranked. Like we get a few people above 90 every year and about 30 people in the 80's every year so it is odd that we lack a rank.
And thank you! I just hope that I get in to ANU. I have already given up on USYD and UNSW.

Have you checked the world rankings for universities? http://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/world-university-rankings

I'm sure you'll do well whatever uni you attend - its what you make of it at the end of the day.

Yep. That is why I am aiming for ANU or Macq as it is the best ranked Uni in Australia for Commerce. But USYD has always been a dream, so I have always secretly hoped I would get there despite no one at my school ever getting about 93.
And yeah. I am super excited to live on my own.

You can always transfer back - you don't have to give up on USyd/UNSW entirely. So you want to do commerce? Its an okay course - depends what major you're doing (don't do Accounting son - just don't).

That is what I was thinking aswell. That I could just transfer in after a year. Or to Melbourne Uni after a semester as they for some reason allow you to do that I am rather sure. And hahahaha. I am planning on majoring in Finance and minoring in International Business. My Dad did accounting and is trying to get me to do it but there is no way in hell I could ever do it. Wayyy too boring.

Given the school rank, I reakon 84-87. I think general and one unit of ancient probably wont count.

Really? I assumed Ancient and one unit of Economics won't count. Is 86+ in General really that bad?
General is a low scaling subject, whilst economics is a strong scaler. Its possible that general will count over economics, but its hard to tell due to the small size of your economics class. Just as a note, my estimate is based off your ranks and school rank.

Ohh okays. Well I hope you are right about 84-87, despite my aim! :)
And ohh okay. Well thanks for the estimate.
