I gained entry into the Aspire leadership program , which is great!
A little bit disappointed I didn't get the 10k/yr Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship, but only 5 got it.. and apparently this year there were 100+ applications.. so the standard must of been quite high.

yeah - in late December and then formally again last week with the actual forms to fill out - bank details, acceptance etc.

I got a call from UWS today saying I'm into the Aspire program so I'm really pleased and I also received an Academic Scholarship which is strange seeing as my ATAR was only 93.4. They said that the quality of the applicants this year was outstanding and that there were about 130 applicants.

I know, Riproot on these forums got a 94+ ATAR, and didn't receive notification.

Theres two scholarships..
Academic = 5k/yr, set aside for those who achieve high ATARs.. generally 95+, no application/interview required.
OR.
Vice Chancellor's Leadership = 10k/yr, based upon application and interview, 5 recipients out of a total of 130+ applicants.

I wish I did.. 10k would have come in handy, but oh well.. I'm hoping that the Aspire program opens up career opportunities/valuable payed internships.

Still need to make a decision, the 10k/yr scholarship would have decided it for me.. but now I'm second guessing myself.
