Sorry, but for most universities, bonus points are included for all subjects, except medicine.

Please note though, that you don't need 99.95 to get into medicine (though it would be great if you could!). It is possible to get in with something more reasonable like 98+ as well.

I've been told that because entry into medicine is so competitive, bonus points don't make a difference. However, if you're looking to apply to UWS and you live in western Sydney, you can get in on a significantly lower atar than oter places, something like 94. Of course you shouldn't use this as a guideline for an atar aim, aim as high as possible because you're still competing with the 99.95+ students who apply, but yes there is still hope.
And of course, you've always got the UMAT to support you, so stay positive :)

If its UWS then the atar cutoff is 93.5 (this year) but you also need to do a umat...

To get into med, it's a combination of ATAR, UMAT and interview, depending on which university. (also, please don't type in caps!)

DON'T WANT TO GO TO UWS THEN YOU WON'T GET INTO MEDICINE WITH THE ATAR YOU'RE PREDICTING.

SORRY, JUST TYPING IN CAPS BECAUSE YOU ARE.

Hold shift then write, if you can't even control your caps you shouldn't be a med student rofl. Also why would you care to what uni you go to if you wanna do med, sorry but I don't think you'll get in with that attitude.

Let's, for a second, think about this logically. Say if there were bonus points, and you got a 90 ATAR, you'd be competing with students who got a 98+ ATAR, but they will most likely get those bonus points as well, so you'd still be at the bottom of the pack. It wouldn't make a difference at all.

And we haven't even begun talking about UMAT; if you can't figure out how to hold "shift" to remove the CAPS (because apparently, your CAPS is "stuck"), I seriously don't see how you will have any chance at doing well in UMAT because that has a logic component.

Essentially, you have no chance.

Wow, I hope you're never performing surgery on anyone with those slipping hands to the CAPS LOCK KEY ALL THE TIME. Oops I did too, it's just so hard to type in lowercase.

Pretty much, Medicine is one of the subjects that accept no bonus points, Also you would only get bonus points if you've been disadvantaged somwhat, you go to neither a government labled disadvantaged school , or have been disadvantaged, ( idk about this one but i doubt it).

There is the possibility of a secondary pathway for rural students at UNSW, UNE and U of Newcastle amongst others. Basically it's called Rural Entry or something and you compete for selected places with other rural students. I have been told you still need to have a mid to higher 90s ATAR and a fairly decent UMAT score to be competitive. Shape up, research medicine and all possible pathways into med, buy some HSC notes and UMAT prep materials and study your ass off and you will give yourself a greater chance. Also, buy a new keyboard and learn to use it. Also, 'points' is not spelt 'pnts', 'please' is not spelt 'pls' and 'disadvantage school' doesn't make sense.
