Particularly in high school, one of the reasons girls go for guys older than them is status amongst their friends. I was talking to a girl in year 8 yesterday and she told me that having a boyfriend who was a senior (ie year 11 and 12) was like the ultimate status symbol in year 8.

I don't understand why girls would think having an older bf is a status symbol. That kind of thinking just shows that they are not ready for a relationship.

so for me, it's 17...

Hmm, I forgot what I said before.

But the oldest I have considered going for was 9 years older than me.
He looked 19.

Still, didn't go there, don't know if I would.

When I think of age difference, I think of when I'm sixty years old and when the other person could be only 70 years old. Yeah it sounds weird, but that's what comes to mind :L
