Do subjects from the ASB scale or is your raw mark at the end of the year your final mark?
do they scale down a lot? im worried because im doing just enough to to pass in all my subjects but im worried because the averages for the assessments we have done so far are relatively high (distinctions), that my mark will scale downFrom the courses I've done so far (ECON1101, FINS1613, ACTL1001, ACCT1501) they usually don't scale, or they even scale down.
i think ECON1101 scaled down a lot for us in sem 1 2011 since most people were disappointed in their results including me. some of us expected HDs but we pretty much got a mid-distinction. FINS1613 and ACCT1501 slightly scaled down by a few marks, i was expecting marks in the 90s since i got 100% in everything before the finals but i got high 80s (i highly doubt i did THAT badly in my exams). ACTL1001 was pretty ridiculous, not sure about scaling for that because i really screwed that up.do they scale down a lot? im worried because im doing just enough to to pass in all my subjects but im worried because the averages for the assessments we have done so far are relatively high (distinctions), that my mark will scale down
Yes, provided your total marks in the course are > 50 you pass.So basically since I am failing and all I am looking for is to pass.
As long as I get above 50 in raw,I should be fine?
