hey i am currently in year 12 and want to get into bachelor of commerce because i want to do actuarial studies.

i go to a school which has ranking of 387

my school ranks-

adv english- 5/12
3unit maths- 2/22
4-unit maths 1/6
physics- 4/44
chemistry- 4/33

i have still left trials and probably another test next term??? guidance please!

Any ATAR is always possible.

But given your ranks and school rank, I'm not seeing it happening. You are essentially average in English at your school as there are only twelve. To get a 96+ at a 300+ rank school you would want to be dux and the top or very close to the top in all your subjects.

What does the dux of your school normally get?

How many people usually get an atar of 96+. It's hard to tell because even though your ranks are good,your school rank is really average so it would be hard to tell

last year the top atar was 99.45.....and the year before was somewhere around in 98s....2-3 people manage to get 96+...and in physics and chemistry the top ranker is just 2-3 marks ahead of me...

I go to a top 200s school. If you had those ranks you would get at least 96-99

It represents your overall performance in the internals and the exams (i.e. the HSC mark).
