hey guys,

ive got a question concerning my school providing me with an ATAR estimate.

well i want to get into MED (still waiting for UMAT but i have my hopes up) and im pretty sure that the first round offers are based on the UMAT result and my estimated ATAR. do i need to let my school know this so that they can send it in for me or does everyone have an ATAR estimate?

also if they do provide it how accurate is it usually? i know for a fact that my coordinator knows absolutely nothing about allinging and they believe that scaling doesnt exist so im worried that i wont be given a proper ATAR which will majorly impact my chances of getting in.

i finished ranked first in every subject from my signature and my school rank in somewhere in the mid 300's (about 180th in 2011)

what should i do?

Learn to use uppercase letters at the start of sentences and for 'I' when referring to yourself.

Do nothing. There is nothing you can do other than study for the HSC exams. If you get in, great, if you don't, go to plan B.

this isn't an english exam...

OP
your school would have sent in your assessment marks/ranks to the BOS by now. i didn't think that they scaled/aligned them or provided an ATAR estimate with what they submit but don't quote me on it. there's nothing you can do now besides trying to do very well in the HSC exams :)

You gotta remember that med places aren't offered until they have interviewed everyone. So even if you think your school hasn't given you a credible atar estimate, I wouldn't worry too much.

2012 year it is mid 300's
2013 year ?? not sure just yet
what im basing the 2011 was on the 2010 cohort and so on.
