Wait are you referring to me? Because I don't do that. I was talking about people may start doing that once you get into Uni, like if someone asks what degree you do, there are probably certain stereotypes behind a degree, the whole elitism with degrees, etc.
No, not referring to you, just as a general point.

Just think about it this way. Suppose people DO judge you.

Would you want to be friends with someone like that?

PROTIP: Keep one of these handy during your first day of Uni to use on people who ask for your ATAR, or anything like that.

No one cares what you get once you start uni. It may come up in conversation randomly down the track however you all entered the same course with similar marks.

Lol someone asked me, "What was your ATAR", I literally responded, "Enough to get me into the best undergraduate law school in the southern hemisphere". Silence ensued.

Don't tell anyone your ATAR if you don't want to. It's none of their business.

Thanks guys! I kind of feel like I want to be a smart ass about it just to annoy them.

Then I refer you to my line 'Better than yours.'

Though mostly if people asked, I just said I was happy with it.

lol i haven't been asked my atar since like 3 days after the results. Either way you shouldn't let what other people think of it put you down as it doesn't really define anything significant about you.

Boss.

Very few people in my cohort asked about my atar (we don't really care who gets what, for some people if they get higher than someone else, they feel superior lol. cunts.) but juniors/seniors asked.

And that would make you no better than those who would sooner judge you.

Just tell them - who cares.

My first day back, 1st years everywhere greeting each other etc.

Heard quite a few "How did you go in the HSC?".

Quietly laughed inside.
I was the guy that was loudly swearing about how terribly I did. :spin:

But I don't want them to judge! Okay look, basically the only clue I will give is I got high 80's. And I mean I think people are more ''Ohh wooow'' when you get 90 plus, and I don't want to be unimpressive lol
it depends on the people really.

Some people think 90+ is good but some people only think 95+ or 99+ is.
Like, when I told people my ATAR pretty much everyone was disappointed. :/

I break down in tears.
lol

This, pretty much.
