You obviously missed the entire point of those 40 pages. There was some serious symbolic shizz going on and it's probably the only semi-decent SOC out there

I developed an appreciation for SOC eventually, but first time my class of 10 read it - we were all like: "No, just no."

Many lunch times sitting quietly trudging through the book with friends.


My point was if you don't have the appreciation for it, and think your SOC is bad, then Mrs. Dalloway will make you hate it even more

Unless you develop your appreciation.

unfortunately yes, he wasn't that great of a writer to begin with and he absolutely ran out of ideas on this one.

good point. I think Dan Brown, Clive Cussler and Michael Crichton provide similar adventures. If you wanna go way back Thomas Pynchon is your best bet.

ooh i've been meaning to read Thomas Pynchon's novels but haven't got round to it. I'll check out the others too, although i'm not a huge fan of Dan Brown.
