Good luck you 2014ers :).
Why thank you.

Oh and the school pissed me off so much. I wanted to change to Economics since day 1, but they only changed my timetable last week. Also, our school lost its only Legal Studies teacher, so basically we have wasted 6 weeks of doing nothing, and we don't know how to begin our assessment. The task seems simple, but the subject is new to us.

Not everyone can do that. I can't, at least not at this stage of the year. The way textbooks explains things is so mediocre, I need a teacher to explain shit to me and draw graphs and along the way explain how things relate to each other. That's how I learn.

Well it's the first assessment so it shouldn't be that difficult to do right? There are pretty much no prerequisites towards the first assessment in legal studies except concepts and whatnot. Also, the internet is a wondrous place. I'm sure there are many online resources you can use to aid you in your assessment task.

You can teach yourself rather efficiently just off what's in Cambridge. My Legal teacher's pregnant and has taken most of the start of the year off with morning sickness and I'm doing fine with the Cambridge textbook.

Yeah, the textbooks provided by my school were terrible in my opinion; I was totally lost at first. But Cambridge is seriously amazing.

25/25 for my Modern History exam. Very happy of course, now I just have to maintain 1st place. Someone else also got 25, the next result after that was 22.

Is this the Legal Studies Cambridge textbook you guys are recommending?

Thanks.

Goal for this year: come first in Modern and Advanced. (the 2nd one will be way harder to accomplish).

Yep, that's it. It's comprehensive but it doesn't stray from the syllabus. It explores issues with greater depth and complexity than Heinnman or Pearson. Good luck with your goal, 100% is a pretty goo way to start :)

Yeah, the one my school gave me is Heinemann. It's pretty shit.
