I might be looking for a new job soon, and I'm looking for ideas.

What was your favorite job, and why was it your favorite? Money, schedule, etc.

Thanks!! :)

I am trying to search for a new career choice and don't know which direction I should go. Any advice on jobs right now?

favourite job has been working for the student union at uni because it's fun, i get to talk to people all day, it makes good use of my skills while giving me new ones, I like the people (all fellow uni students), the hours are great with my timetable, and pay is better than retail.

I'm 17 and I'm working 3 jobs at the moment. I would have to say my favorite job is working in the stables. I work there most weekends for 5 hours from 6am then i get to do my own thing. Sure I wake up early but thats just to do something I love. I get paid $20 for each 1 hour training session and end up having around $160 for working 10 hours. I love training foals and horses, and monitor their progress! It's an amazing to go out to competitions and watch the horses that I trained compete! :)

I'm also working part time at Donut King selling donuts and as a barista. Great job! You get to socialise with lots of people, and the ability to connect with customers is desirable for future career opportunities. The pay is higher than the standard prescribed pay and extra on weekends. My boss is very flexible with shift schedules so that's never a problem.

And I also work at Valley Girl. They have average pay by great flexible shifts.

But all pay and schedules depend on your employer.

Hope this helped a little :)

You must some some amazing time management skills to do that along with your hsc.

What ever you do, don't get an administration/ reception job! Sooooooooo boring!
(Unless you want to go into that kind of area, then it's good experience and such)

Yes but both Donut King and Valley Girl have really good shifts that don't require me to work 24/7. As for my job at the stables, I'm only working until 11 ish so I spend the rest of my day studying :)

Having 3 jobs gets my mind off the stress involved in year 12!! (Screw you half yearlies....)
