Good idea. I don't mind the logging in every 24 hours because I have a wireless router anyway.
I think what puts me off is the little things. E.g. Both times I've moved houses myself its been a good 2-4 weeks before Internet gets reconnected. During that time having a working console was the best.

But it's not my primary concern, Xbox would have had to really wow me to make me switch anyway

this is all dumb and obviously damage control

it is needlessly complicated.

the only saving grace of the ps4s e3 presentation was that they are changing nothing

which shouldn't be something to celebrate

also something about a majority of the xbones 'big' non-gaming features being US based (e.g. the live football scores and hulu and netflix and shit)
exactly 100% saving face fuckers

everytym i move im w/out internet for weeks, getting it installed, organisin with roomies to get a connect etc takes fukin time + the connection fees

ugh

says the idiot who wants fucking animal crossing

The launch titles aren't even that bad considering Watch Dogs and assuming that Battlefield 4 isn't a shitheap. Plus there are a few titles that are already in development that should be released pretty shortly afterward.

launch titles that sell systems tend to be exclusives, no one is rly gonna buy an xbox one for those two games when other consoles have them too plus so much more.

Yep I was merely addressing general release titles for both consoles. It will be interesting to see whether those games utilise the Kinect in order to differentiate the two consoles. The only PS4 exclusive that upsets me is Planetside 2. It's interesting to see how many former exclusives are going to both consoles now, Kingdom Hearts 3 being a major one.

yep, they need to use it in a way that isn't gimmicky and lame for once.

Also noticed the touchpad thing on the ps4 controller but don't recall any games being announced that use it in any good way

well there you go all the innovative things that Microsoft were trying to do have been flushed down the toilet because a bunch of children are scared of an internet connection
I think the problem more or less lies in the fact people have misunderstood the information.
but otherwise, this:http://www.dorkly.com/article/52521/don-mattricks-first-draft-of-the-xbox-one-update-announcement

because having to take the game discs with you is oh so cumbersome
I have only ever bought 1 pre-owned game and never shared a game with someone who didn't live with me. These changes do not affect me whatsoever. Let alone all of the retards complaining about the not being able to share games thing when you can add 10 people to your "family" and then just fucking do it anyway. Who has 10 people in their family that play different consoles or have different accounts? It's amazing no one noticed what a coincidence that was.

I was excited to see some innovation in the gaming world, especially for consoles. The only problem being that the main audience and market are downright morons who are afraid of change. Cloud computing for consoles sounded *incredibly* awesome but now we can fuck that right off because some dumb cunts wanna save a couple of bucks at EB when they get tired of jerking off over Call of Duty for 4000 hours.

to be fair a lot of the time someone lent games to someone at school/uni the person they would lend it to would in turn lend it to someone else and you would get the disc back afterwards. The 10 people thing could get used up incredibly quickly, not to mention that a fair few people do tend to buy pre-owned games and via the previous system the Xbox One had, you pretty much had to sell the game back and its sold as a brand new game to the next person, essentially meaning you are paying full price for what was ultimately a pre-owned game.

I'm not saying cloud gaming is a bad idea at all, for example i think it would be awesome to go overseas and be able to log into your account and play your games from back home. Then again, if this was really a massive concern its not that hard to save your game data onto an SD card or USB and take that and the disc with you overseas.

It's just that for some situations the current system of simply lending your mate a disk is just as convenient and the fact that you aren't restricted to just a pool of 10 people with whom you can share this game and the fact that if you want a game you have the option of getting a pre-owned copy at less cost means quite a few gamers prefer this system.

Yeah Christian, I don't see why having cloud gaming should require overly restrictive DRM. Why couldn't you have games in the cloud but still be able to share them in the same way as a disc?
