All she said was that they fail around 1% less people than chemistry.Well, even fundies is under 20%? I still think 20% might be too high.
To weed out the noobs.Weeder?
To be honest, first year chemistry is not a "weeder".To weed out the noobs.
Well it's relative...To be honest, first year chemistry is not a "weeder".
Yeah, this.To weed out the noobs.
Even O-chem?To be honest, first year chemistry is not a "weeder".
Nope, there isn't a specific o-chem subject at Sydney until third year. The o-chem that is taught in earlier classes is also generally considered to be among the easiest parts of the course.Yeah, this.
Even O-chem?
Begorrah, things have changed.
Yup been talking to people and apparently MBLG1901 is taught considerably better.I don't want to justify myself at this juncture, but do MBLG1901 if you can. In fact, do advanced units if you can (unless there's a very good reason why you shouldn't).
Regarding weeder courses, chem tends to be one of them as is MBLG.
Edit: MBLG1901 is properly taught and supervised. That's why you should do it.
Pretty sure there is a freshman O-chem course where kids get screwed by nucleophilic and electrophilic substitution or addition reactions, nomenclature, and Markovnikov's and Zaitsev's rule.Nope, there isn't a specific o-chem subject at Sydney until third year.
