General Thoughts: English Standard Paper 2 (1 Viewer)

Ok here is how I think I went.

Mod A (Maestro): 15/20. 4.5 pages i think i wrote. Found this question pretty good and was expecting something less adaptable like last years question (which was terrible)

Mod B (Wilfred Owen): 17-18/20. Also wrote about 4.5 pages. I have always found Wilfred Owens poetry easy and so zoomed through this in half an hour at most. Great, easy question too. I chose to do 'Dulce Et Decorum Est' and 'Mental Cases'.

Mod C (Billy Elliot): 14-15/20. Wrote 6 pages on this but found it probably the most difficult of the 3 due to my planned essays not exactly fitting the question and I kind of had to adapt them but even still it wasn't a perfect match i'll admit. Had 55 minutes to do this section after racing through the first 2.

All up I wrote 15 pages, the most I've ever done for an English exam so pretty happy with that. Hand is still aching though!

Hoping for a Band 5 overall, provided I am ranked 2nd in my year I think I have a chance?

lol i got a 2 line conclusion as well wtf fml. I had 3 min for my realted which was half a page... then 1 min conclusion gg HSC. hope igot 15.15 for cerative tho.

I was ranked first in my standard class. That does that mean that my mark out of 105 will become both my internal mark and my external mark? What will my HSC mark be then??

(i am assuming that I got the highest mark out of all my class mates)

hopefully there lenient and not harsh, cause we had to do 3 essays in 2 hours

It doesn't matter if they are lenient or harsh, if they're consistent with everyone you will still get the same rank in relation to everyone else.

Exam went well. Went in there with pre-prepared responses and attempted to mould them with the questions. Not sure what marks to expect as I don't know how harsh the markers mark. I reckon I wrote 1000-1100 words per response. But basically timing wasn't really an issue for me. Overall, it went well, hoping for 16+/20 over all the responses
