Q about English and ATAR (1 Viewer)

So I was playing around with various ATAR calculators. I realised they all require you to put English. I would assume if you are trying to estimate your ATAR, you would put your top 5 subjects, right? Or would you put all your subjects?

I guess my main question is, if English is your worst subject, then like all other subjects will it not count towards your ATAR or is it an exception?

your atar is calculated from your best 8 units + 2 units of english

English is always counted, no matter how shit you go in it.

If English wasn't counted but compulsory I would have 12 units and not even show up to class for English.

English is always counted but if you do extension english and you have 11 units and do better, they half it and half your advanced mark or something (sorry I can't really explain it properly but it works towards your favour because it's higher if you do better).

English is the moderator. As such, it will alway be counted :S
