I was hired by Typo as a Christmas Casual on Wednesday last week by email. I've also done the online orientation thing where I fill in my bank details/TFN, and I was wondering when people are normally contacted to start work, and whether or not I should give them a call.

Thanks guys :)

no don't call them just yet, they usually begin early November, when did you say you could start?

I told them I could start on the 25th :). But that I couldn't work on a couple of days mid-November because of uni exams. Should I wait a while longer?

dealing with lots of HR people before when I was applying, something tells me that they're waiting until you finish uni exams, if you confidently told them that you could work except those exam days, I would call

Well, by told, I mean I put it down on my application during my interview. Should I trust that they read that properly? And, do you think I should call now-ish?
