Awesome! If I had a day with 6hrs, I hope I don't fall asleep in the last lecture lol
It isn't much different from the hrs we spend at school so it seems manageable i think.

It just depends on the individual, you might want to work 3 days a week and have the weekends off to study and socialise. In this case going to uni 2 days would work well, plus you're cutting down on your travel time (if that is an issue to you).

Yeah I'm not sure how the hrs in uni will feel. But I do prefer 2 or 3 days a week if I were to do just BCom due to 1. travel time and 2. work.
And travel time is an issue for me because it roughly takes 1.5hrs (2 buses) to go to UNSW (one way).

Yeah it will take me 1.5 hrs to UNSW one way as well but i'll probably go 3 days a week at least for semester 1.

+1. That's what I have been told.

PS. UNSW has a better comm. faculty. Also a centre for innovation is being built so students will have a greater link with industry following graduation.
PPS. Don't doubt the New South!

USYD has solid opportunities during and after graduation. Some of my friends are interning at Washington D.C. this summer (They are only 1st years). Internships at big 4 accounting are also popular.
Either way, basically the same man - just go where you think you'll be happier (srs). Your uni name isn't going to drag you (usyd/unsw - locally), your marks, work experience and networks will.

I had my heart set (and 1st pref) on UNSW comm/eco until like 12 mins before deadline.

Good luck!

Why'd you change. At this stage, my atar may scrap me through into SYD so I'm still considering it.

Agreed.

I came to USyd knowing literally no one (excluding 4 high school acquaintances I talked to anyways and the BoS krew) and tbh, I found it to be pretty great. If I went to say UNSW, I probably would have remained in my original friendship circle. But since it wasn't the case, I actually had to make the effort to meet people and consequently, I found that I 'crawled out of my social shell' and flourished socially. I've met some pretty damn down-to-earth people and also a variety of lovable personalities - and I never looked back :)

soz i got a bit carried away, im an emotional asianese
Naw that's so cute :)

yeah instead of going to a my closest capital city, I decided to go to move 7 hrs away knowing close to noone (noone super well anyway). And all the people I met this year were the highlight, where if I went and lived with people with my hometown/other people I knew in melb I would have met less new people and branched out less I think. I kinda forced it as a necessity :p Anyway I find variety and newness exciting so yay.

This is gold. Meeting up with my high school friends occasionally it's like nothing ever changes and that's quite boring when it comes down to it. Meeting new people and learning to interact with people of all ages is a great experience that you only really ever benefit from. I mean, who would honestly want to stay in the same friendship circle forever and live a shallow life from there (not like you're an idiot shallow, just like a dull nothing new shallow).

Also if you want to talk about CBD, UTS wins that :p
Lol but we have grass with a park attached + CBDness :p City - concrete.

If you sleep well the night before and snack throughout the day you can manage 6 hours a day. I've done it ( in science). Depends on how you want to do it.../ part time job etc
8 hr days, lab lyf.

actually you'd probably still get in since they offer up to 5 bonus points which pretty much everyone gets as long as you did extension units in either maths or english.

er..... no it's bloody not.

i went to detroit. we were in the car the whole time, doors locked and left after about 20 minutes. and the people who were showing us around were the ones who locked the doors cause they were worried about robberies and all that, me and my family were kinda confused about it.

since then, the city of detroit has gone bankrupt.

and then i went to DC for a few days which was heappps chill. went to the smithsonian and stuff. was cold as hell (middle of winter) but it was a million times better than detroit. you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
