How do you find the area between te semi circle and the x-axis of this curve:

y=(9-x^2)^1/2 ?

If you are required to use integration, then make a substitution where x = sinØ, and integrating with respect to Ø.

(Ø is meant to be a theta)

They had this in Carrot's maths seminar haha
You use the basic area of a circle formula and divide it by 4

what stage are you upto? have you found the ordinates for your integral and your area of the semicircle?
